Realme has added a new member to its watch portfolio with the launch of “Realme Watch S pro” in India. Following its lower variant “Realme watch s” the pro variant comes with various options to choose from for dial faces and 15 sports mode and different eye-catching features like remainder for drinking water getting up from seat all priced at Rs. 9,999 is it all worth it? Let’s find out it in this detailed review.
Realme Watch S Pro Full Review
Design and display:
Realme provides stainless steel and 22mm silicon strap and you get to choose from three different color options for the strap for the silicon and if you want more class to your watch you get a leather strap priced at INR 499 and INR 999 respectively.
The display of the watch has to be the best part of the watch. The Realme s pro comes with a 1.39-inch OLED screen protected by gorilla glass 2.5D. The brightness of the watch goes up to 450 nits. Realme has provided 5 steps of auto-brightness that could come in handy in time. The brightness was enough for my use.
Interface and Compatible Apps
The minimal interface makes it easier to navigate. There are two buttons on the right side of the watch one to toggle between the different widgets available like your step count, calories burnt, the weather, music controls, sleep data, and heart rate.
Most of the customization can be done through the link app. Realme link app allows you to choose from 100 different dial options. You can get the Always-on display in the setting menu and choose the dial to be analog and digital. You can even set the time for the display to be on although the company warns keeping this feature on will decrease the battery life by 84 percent. Realme also gave the option to control the vibration intensity. Other than that watch can work as a remote shutter button for the paired device to use the camera remotely.
Performance
The watch is powered by a 420 mAh battery which the company claims gives juice to use the watch for 15 days. Although in my use it was up to 4 to 6 days keeping always-on display and 1 hour of workout tracking. The watch even has battery saver mode which increases the battery mileage but keeps in mind that the watch only keeps a record of the sleep and steps counter in this mode. It comes with a magnetic dock for charging which took over two hours to charge from 0-100%.
A different handy feature is introduced to this watch, the company has launched the compass in the watch for the first time. It comes with 14 different workout modes which include Indoor Run, Outdoor Walk, Indoor Walk, Outdoor Cycling, Spinning, Hiking, Basketball, Yoga, Rowing, Elliptical, Cricket, Strength Training, Free workout, and a new swimming mode.
A new sleep tracking feature is introduced which helps you get healthy tracking your sleep pattern. Although I didn’t use that feature as I didn’t wear the watch while sleeping but it might come in handy for different consumers. The heart rate tracking can be set on a timer of 5 min, 10 min, 20 min, or 30 min, or simply turn it off through the Realme link app. The app has active GPS through which you could check your routes of outdoor jogging, walking, cycling on the map which I personally found very handy.
In spite of its pricing the Realme watch s pro gave pretty amazing results the difference in steps counter of watch and manual was 7 to 13 steps which isn’t a huge margin and the distance covered was slightly backward by 15 meters on my uses.
Verdict:
As the watch directly competes with MI watch revolve and AmazFit GTR 2. All three comes with similar features but the Realme s pro is priced at the lowest among all. So, if you are on a tight budget the Realme watch s pro is worth it but if you are a person who gets called all the time and wises to take it from the watch then you must seek other options as Realme doesn’t provide an option for speaker and microphone.
