Redmi K20 Pro is one of the most famous devices when it comes to custom ROM development. Xiaomi sends out review units to developers so that then can develop custom ROMs and nerds like us can enjoy them. Redmi K20 Pro already has tons and tons of custom ROMs available (for eg. Pixel Experience, Evolution X, HavocOS, LineageOS, etc.)
Today let’s talk about one more custom ROM for the Redmi K20 Pro which goes by the name of ExtendedUI. ExtendedUI is a pixel experience based ROM for Redmi K20 Pro and it is pretty cool to use. ExtendedUI comes with some cool features which make the overall experience really fun.

ExtendedUI Features
ExtendedUI is a stock android ROM based on Pixel Experience. Stock android means that you get the software that google provides with their pixel devices. ExtendedUI is clean, smooth and fast. I love stock android ROMs because they literally have no bloatware whatsoever. Here are some features that ExtendedUI offers –
- Ambient edge lighting
- FOD icon picker
- Double-tap to sleep on status bar / lock screen
- Smart replies toggle
- Battery charging light customisations
- Notification snooze function
- Navigation bar customisations
- Lockscreen shortcuts customisations
- Configurable amount of screen height used for gestures
I love the feature where one can change the Fingerprint unlock icon. There are many options available like Iron Man’s Arc reactor, Captain America’s Shield and many more. I went for the shield of Captain America cause that looks cool.
Apart from that I also like the clock widget in the quick settings menu. It is a feature that comes from Samsung’s OneUI. It is a feature which looks good and has functionality as well. Because of the clock widget, the quick settings toggles become easier to reach with one hand. One hand usage becomes easier because of the clock widget in the quick settings menu.

ExtendedUI Performance
ExtendedUI is great when it comes to performance. I didn’t notice any lag whatsoever. It’s great for daily usage and also for gaming. Games like PUBG work absolutely fine and I didn’t notice any frame drops or stutters. ExtendedUI is based on Pixel Experience which is why it has such good performance.
Also, there’s something about stock android that makes you wanna use your phone more. It is very smooth, clean and way better than MIUI or Realme UI both of which are filled with bloatware. Also, the Snapdragon 855 processor does help in the performance department.

ExtendedUI Camera
ExtendedUI comes with the MIUI stock camera app. MIUI stock camera app works great with Redmi K20 Pro but I prefer Google Camera 7.2. It gives way better results and works like a charm on Redmi K20 Pro (well at least for images). You can watch my video on YouTube to know more about GCam 7.2 for Redmi K20 Pro – Click Here.

ExtendedUI Battery Life
ExtendedUI isn’t the best when it comes to battery life. It is draining battery faster than other ROMs out there like Pixel Experience or Evolution X. Maybe this is just a temporary issue that will be fixed in the future updates. Hopefully the developer solves the battery issue soon.
