The long awaited OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro are finally here. Today OnePlus unveiled their new phones for 2020 viz. OnePlus 8 and it’s bigger brother OnePlus 8 Pro. Both of these phones were pretty much leaked entirely before the launch. The only thing that wasn’t leaked was the price, but now we know everything about these new OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro.
Despite of there being a lockdown situation in most of the countries, OnePlus went ahead and launched their phones. They said that the launched had already been pushed several times and couldn’t be delay anymore.
Anyway that’s a good thing because we finally have some new phones to talk about. Let’s see what the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro have to offer. We’ll start with the younger brother aka OnePlus 8.

So the OnePlus 8 seems to be a pretty solid upgrade over the OnePlus 7T. Snapdragon 865 Processor with 5G, 8GB or 12GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.0 Storage. OnePlus is sticking to the higher refresh rate display which is excellent. The OnePlus 8 comes with a 6.55″ FHD+ 90Hz AMOLED Display with a hole-punch cutout for the camera.
As far as the batter goes, OnePlus 8 is gonna come with a 4300mAh Battery with 30W Warp Charge 30T which basically means 30W Fast charging.
OnePlus 8 won’t be getting wireless charging or an IP Rating as this device is more budget friendly as compared to the 8 Pro.

As far as the cameras go, OnePlus is not going the 64MP route. They seem to be sticking with a 48MP Primary camera with a 16MP Ultra Wide Camera and a 2MP macro sensor. The selfie camera is a 16MP shooter.
OnePlus 8 Pricing and Availability
OnePlus 8 starts at a price of $699 for the 8GB + 128GB variant and the 12GB + 256GB variant comes for $799. It will be available from 29th April in the US and pre-orders for the European markets begin today.
The Indian pricing and availability wasn’t announced since India is in lockdown till 3rd May 2020.

OnePlus 8 Pro comes with a Snapdragon 865 Processor with 5G, 8GB or 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1 Storage. The display seems to be an upgrade over OnePlus 7T Pro. It is now a 6.78″ QHD+ 120Hz Super AMOLED Display. I am really excited to try out the 120Hz AMOLED Display.
The battery seems to be a 4510mAh battery with 30W Fast Charging, 30W Wireless Charging and 3W Reverse Wireless Charging too. So finally OnePlus is introducing wireless and reverse wireless charging in their devices.
The phone is also IP68 Water Resistant which is a welcome upgrade.

As far as the cameras go, there seems to be a Quad-Camera setup on the rear side. 48MP Primary, 48MP Ultra-Wide, 8MP Telephoto and a 5MP Color Filter Sensor.
On the front side of things, there’s gonna be a 16MP Camera.
