One Plus 7T: Perfection at a low Price!

OnePlus 7T is probably one of the most value for money phones out there. Especially with that newer 90Hz refresh rate display it is a no brainer and loved by all. Today let’s talk in detail about the OnePlus 7T and the features that it offers.

Overview

The One Plus 7t is probably the best Android device that you can get right now for 35,ooo Rs. Now there are many other smartphones which are really good available at the same price but what the 7t offers is more in terms of overall features and a combination of really good hardware as well as software at the same time and is a really device to recommend.

Display

The display on the 7t is the best example of what makes the user experience so much better overall. It is a 1080 x 2400 AMOLED display with a aspect ratio of 20:9 which makes it a little bit taller. It is an amazing display with great colours, contrast and viewing angles, it is also a very bright display which goes upto 1000 nits. The cherry on top is the 90Hz refresh rate which makes everything feel much more smoother and responsive. You also have the under display optical fingerprint scanner which is really fast and accurate.

Build

The build of this device is very similar to any other smartphone that are currently available. It has a glass and metal sandwich design with Gorilla glass 5 on both the front and the back. The phone also features a aluminium frame and weighs in at about 190g.

Internals

The phone comes with some really good internals, a Snapdragon 855+ with the Adreno 640 GPU combined with 8GB RAM and 128/256GB UFS 3.0 storage. Such amazing specs result in top of the line performance which is complimented by the software as well.

Software

Out of the box the One Plus 7t comes with Oxygen Os on top of Android 10. Oxygen Os is one of the best when it comes to software to performance ratio. It is a super stable, feature packed and a lag free experience. It is full of features that are actually useful and also One Plus is pretty quick at pushing the latest updates and security patches  to their phones as soon as they are made available by Google.

Cameras

The One Plus 7t comes with a huge camera bump on the back and a single camera in the front inside the tear drop notch. The camera bump on the back consists of three different lenses 1. 48 Mp f 1.6 sensor Wide lens 2. 12 Mp f 2.2 Telephoto lens 3. 16 Mp f 2.2 Ultra-wide lens. As it houses three different lenses, you have the flexibility to choose any of the three lenses for your perfect shot. Overall the camera is very capable and clicks really good pictures with great details and dynamic range. In low light conditions as well the phone performs exceptionally well because of the in built night mode in the camera software. The front camera is ok-ish, there is less detail and the dynamic range is not that good but it gets the job done. Here are some examples shot with the One Plus 7t.

On the video side of things, the rear cameras max out at 4k 60 fps. The stabilization is not the greatest as it only supports EIS and no IOS. Video on the front camera maxes out at 1080p 30 fps. Overall the video quality is good for the price.

Battery/Charging

So the One Plus 7t comes with a 3800 mAh battery which should last you easily throughout the day. It is very easy to achieve screen on times of more than 5 hours on this device, and even if you run out of battery, topping it up also wont be a problem as this phone comes One Plus’s new Warp charge 30T which is basically 30W fast charging. It tops up the battery from 0-100% is about an hour and is very helpful at times.

Final Verdict

So, should you buy this device? Definitely yes. The features that this phone provides for the price are just amazing and make is a pretty easy recommendation.
