Xiaomi has been launching phones in India left, right and centre. Today they added one more to this list of phones, i.e., Redmi 9 Prime. Redmi 9 Prime is a successor to the Redmi 8 which was launched last year. Xiaomi’s Redmi series has been pretty successful in India so far. Right from Redmi 2 and 2 Prime to Redmi 8 series, these phones have been a go to for a lot of people looking for a phone under the price of Rs. 10,000.
Redmi 9 Prime looks like an interesting device (at least on paper) for the starting price of Rs. 9999. Let’s have a detailed look at what this offers in terms of specifications.
Design and Display
Redmi 9 Prime comes with a plastic back panel with some really great colour options. There’s Matte Black, Space Blue, Mint Green and Sunrise Flare. Personally, I really like the Matter Black and Sunrise flare color options.
Apart from this, there’s a vertical camera module on the rear side which also houses a fingerprint sensor. Redmi 9 Prime has a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm Headphone Jack too. The phone also supports storage expansion via a dedicated microSD card slot (2 + 1 configuration).
This time around Xiaomi has given a FULL HD+ Display on the Redmi 9 Prime. It is a 6.53″ Full HD+ (2340 x 1080) IPS LCD Display. The aspect ratio is 19.5:9. The display is also protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3.
